Stove / Cooktop repair FAQs
My burner clicks but won't light.
Usually a clogged burner port or a failing spark module. Cleaning the ports fixes a good share of these, and we do that before quoting a module.
How much will it cost?
It depends on which part failed. The service visit is free with any repair and $80 otherwise, and you get the full price before any work starts. If it turns out to be something simple we sort it out there and then, covered by the same $80.
The igniter keeps clicking even when the stove is off.
Moisture or a stuck igniter switch. We dry and clean the switch assembly, and replace it only when the contacts are burnt.
I can smell gas near my cooktop.
Stop using it, shut off the supply if you can reach it safely, and call us. That is different from the harmless clicking fault and we treat it as urgent.
The flame is weak or yellow.
A restricted orifice or a gas valve not delivering correct pressure. A yellow flame also means incomplete combustion, so it is worth fixing rather than living with.
One electric element will not heat.
Either the element or the infinite switch behind it. The switch fails more often than people expect and costs less, so we test both rather than assuming.
Do you repair induction cooktops?
Yes, including pan-detection faults and failed generator boards, alongside gas, coil and radiant glass.
Can you replace cracked cooktop glass?
On most brands yes, though the glass is often the single most expensive part on the appliance. We price it and tell you honestly when replacing the unit makes more sense.
Do you fix the oven too?
Yes, on a separate page, because the parts and the faults are genuinely different. A range has both and we handle them in the same visit.
What warranty do I get?
Our labor carries 90 days on every completed repair, and original manufacturer (OEM) parts carry a full year. We tell you which parts are going in before you approve the work.
