Your dryer doesn't work properly?

Here are some easy, common solutions for you or just contact me:

Make sure the door is securely closed by opening and firmly closing it.
Verify that the dryer is getting power. If the display lights don't turn on when pressed, or if other appliances in the room aren't working, reset the breaker and try again.
If your home uses a fuse panel, check if the fuse has blown and replace it if needed.
Ensure the dryer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not an extension cord.

Ensure the thermal fuse hasn't overheated and is properly connected.
For gas dryers, the radiant sensor triggers the gas valve coils when the igniter gets hot enough.
Similar to the thermal fuse, the igniter in a gas dryer may break or burn out. If it’s not glowing, it won't ignite the gas in the burner.
Heating elements can burn out over time, leaving your dryer without heat. In a gas dryer, verify that the gas valve coils are powering up. For electric dryers, test the heating element for continuity.

Gas dryers might produce a clicking sound when the gas valve cycles on and off—this is normal.
Before starting the dryer, check all pockets and remove any coins or loose objects.
If you hear noises while the dryer is running, stop it and check for any loose objects at the base of the drum.
Ensure the dryer is level and that all four feet are firmly on the ground. An unlevel unit can rock during cycles, causing noise.

Ensure you're selecting a heat cycle to dry your clothes. Cycles like Air Dry or Air Fluff don't use heat and may take longer to dry.
Check that there is no lint blocking the exhaust vent on the exterior of your home. Inspect the vent hose from the dryer to the wall to make sure it's not kinked or crushed. If it's damaged, replace it with a rigid metal or rigid flexible hose instead of vinyl or foil.
Ensure the vent hose is as straight as possible and no longer than 25 feet. If it has any 90-degree turns, it should be no longer than 20 feet, as the turns can restrict airflow and extend drying time.
For gas dryers, confirm the gas supply is functioning correctly. To check for gas supply issues, test another gas appliance in your home:

For Gas Ranges: Turn on the burners to see if they ignite.
For Water Heaters: Check if the pilot light is lit.
For Gas Furnaces: Turn on the furnace, set it to 80°, and see if heat comes from the vents.
